RiseUP is a purpose-driven marketing fellowship that works to increase diversity, access, and tangible social impact across the marketing and advertising industries.
For the last three years, we’ve run fully-paid, full-time cohorts, with 7 of our 8 Fellows receiving full-time job offers upon completion.
This year, our program is on pause while we work to raise money for a new, self-guided format: RiseUP Scholars. It’s a less time-intensive scholarship + mentorship model that will allow more incredible talent to build their skills and their confidence—and ultimately, launch successful careers.
Why RiseUP?
It's no secret that the marketing, advertising, and nonprofit industries have been in desperate need of greater diversity for years. But for all the well-intentioned efforts to make our fields more inclusive and accessible, significant progress has been slow to follow. There's still a massive lack of opportunity and representation, fueled by critical gaps in the way most programs recruit, hire, and nurture their talent.
We created the RiseUP Marketing Fellowship, and RiseUP Scholars, to help rewrite this narrative—and enable more diverse talent to get their feet in the door, their voices heard, and their impact recognized. We hope that by facing this challenge head-on, with transparency and urgency, we’ll inspire the rest of the industry to do the same.
Become a RiseUP Fellow
If you’ve got the drive and determination to write your own success story, we’ve got the opportunity to help you get there. As a RiseUP Fellow, you’ll receive nine months of practical training on some of the marketing industry’s most powerful tools and platforms, 1:1 mentorship with an expert in the space, and hands-on project experience that can propel your career forward—all while receiving a comfortable living stipend—so there’s no need for a side hustle or weekend work to make ends meet.
For our 2022 program, RiseUP offered our Fellows a complete Digital Marketing immersion, including training in Digital Strategy, Paid Media, Email, Social Media, and Reporting + Analytics. In addition to on-the-job learning, our Fellows had the chance to apply their skills in support of amazing nonprofits, giving them, and the organizations they supported, an extra boost on the path to success.
